Make sure to use your Fishing Rod as most as you can off-stage to recover as it is a hazard-free option that will guide you to the ledge. This is especially useful when Roy is trying to pull off tricks offstage, as Isabelle's tether will glide her past Roy to where she can get back on-stage into a more powerful position. It's best to retract immediately so you cannot get stage spiked. If you do, be sure to tech it so you can get past him and get back onto ledge for a position advantage.
